Gaspard, a teenager from the suburbs of Lisbon, falls into the hands of the Ogre, a man who has made a pact with the Devil. The Ogre uses the boy to attract tourists, whom he transforms into animals and then kills. Gaspard escapes with a donkey and a dog that he has grown fond of, and in an enchanted manor, he meets the spirit of Queen D. Maria I.

Arnaud, a student remaining alone in Paris during the summer, is obsessed with the wall where the names of the Parisian soldiers who died in the 1914 war are engraved. He finds himself confronted by one of these soldiers, who invites him to step out of time and to bring comfort to his loved ones.

Emma is bringing up her son Oscar alone. Her life is divided between her work, her voluntary work as a public writer, her lover and her son. Oscar gradually sinks into melancholy, his existential questions echoing those of his mother.

As the title suggests, Père et fille tells the story of a father growing up alone with his daughter after the premature death of the mother. If the premise is sad, director Quentin Papapietro manages to build a comedy in which the feeling of heartwarming fatherly love is staged with intelligence, and a great sense of cinema. With humour and a hint of absurdity, Père et fille offers a new way to consider family films.

In the midst of an energy crisis, an oil engineer sent by a European commodities company ventures into a resource-rich Latin American country under a political upheaval. He is tasked with evaluating the integrity of the world's largest oil reservoir, however he is unable to do it, forcing him to escape at any cost.

Two middle-aged couples travel together to a remote island as one of them is trying to fix their marriage. As bad news arrive from inland, the world around them begins to collapse and their relationships will soon follow suit.
