A guerilla fighter from the South African Boer war called Arjan (Winstone) takes on a manhunt in New Zealand for Maori seaman Kereama (Morrison), who is accused of murdering a British soldier. What follows is a cat and mouse pursuit through the varied landscape of New Zealand with both hunter and huntee testing their bushcraft and wits against that of the other. Gradually they grow to know and respect one another but a posse, led by the British Commanding officer is close behind and his sole intention is to see the Maori hang.

KAREL LAMAČ (1987-1952), who worked in Germany for a long time, was forced to leave for France and then Great Britain before Hitler's fascism, where he continued to direct films. His film Švejk is Destroying Germany from 1943 was created under the influence of wartime circumstances and was intended mainly for a British audience. Perhaps this is also why the tone of the original Czech hero of Hašek's humorous original deviates from his traditional way of portraying him. He transfers him to the wartime reality of the time and, through a series of coincidences, makes him a military servant of the Gestapo commander, which gives Švejk the opportunity to save many people from deportation to concentration camps. Lamač is therefore not driven by the motive of an authorial interpretation but rather by the need for propaganda. This is also emphasized by Foreign Minister Jan Masaryk, whose opening words were added to this comedy in 1947, when it was released into Czechoslovak film distribution.

A romantic comedy about a group of ham-radio enthusiasts who, assuming they will never meet, exaggerate their identities on the airwaves. Three men and their life-long attempts to reconcile the opposing cultural ties within them. The story unfolds in the tension between Robert E. Peary II, a great-grandchild of the Arctic explorer, goes on an expedition into his ancestors' past, which takes him from Greenland to America. It changes Robert's view on himself and his family history forever.

Four war-veterans, from different sides, step onto a boat at the mouth of the Kwando river, deep within the African interior. They are on a journey back to the battlefield, the site of the last "great" battle of the Cold War - its inconclusive and a very secret Armageddon, where they as youngsters, once tried to kill each other.
