On the day of a fateful space mission, Russian actress Oktiabrina Zelenova and her Serbian colleague Vuk Sabljozubić both go missing, the former in her spacecraft and the latter off the streets of Belgrade. Three years after the media frenzy surrounding the incident had calmed down, a Croatian reporter who was assigned to investigate the case accidentally stumbles upon a strangely youthful looking Sabljozubić in Rijeka, and he decides to tell her the whole story.

In the late seventies in Rijeka, the story follows the friendship of an amateur rock band, their development, problems, love and desire for success.

A reporter arrives in Rijeka and is placed in a hotel room numbered 23 where he also meets a mysterious roommate with a shady past. His arrival in the city coincides with the dissappearence of a famous local musical artist. His interest sufficiently piqued, he starts an amateur investigation of his own, which traps him in the inescapable clutches of the city's criminal underworld, putting the life and safety of both him and his family at risk.
