Six-year-old Bi has been afraid of water since the flood took her younger brother. Her father, Karl Klingert, dedicated himself to working on the world's first diving suit. Bi thinks the suit is the monster that took over her father. With the help of Peter, a young bully from the river, she tries to destroy it before the whole family leaves Wroclaw forever.

Berka is 31 years old and a failure girl. She cannot cope with the breakup and she is constantly under the illusion that her beloved Olga will come back to her. When her dad persuades her to come to her family home for a funeral, Berka has to confront him and a former beloved.

Olek returns to Poland after a few years. He must be in quarantine, but his family refuses to let him in. He has nowhere to go, so he sits in the staircase. Władzio wants to walk his dog, which is about to blow up, but he cannot pass. He has to keep two meter distance and Olek doesn’t even have a mask. Arguing with his former neighbor, Olek confronts his lost love, learns to close this relationship and is ready to face the unknown.

Bartek learns that his teenage son is the perpetrator of a murder at school. The distraught boy runs to his dad, so the man hides out with him in his fiancée's flat. As he tries to get everything under control, he grows up to confront the truth about his son and himself as a father.
