MODERN SOUL FILM

Pocky, an upbeat high-schooler, is told she will die in three days by a psychic whose predictions always come true. Along the way, she talks about boyfriends with her two friends, meets a strange boy with heart disease, and regularly bumps into a serial bomber.

This is the first 16mm film by Makoto Tezuka, a multi-talented artist known as a “visualist” who engages in a wide range of creative activities. It depicts the story of fairies inhabiting a modern city through experimental imagery. “SPh” stands for “Spiritual Phenomenon” (fairy phenomenon). It could be described as a unique hybrid of science fiction, mystery, and experimental film.
