With the mayoral election approaching, the newly-appointed state prosecutor of a small town suffering from a water supply crisis gradually descends into trouble after a young local woman is raped.

After spending months as a prisoner in Donbas, Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance expert Lilia returns home to her family. But the trauma of captivity continues to torment her and surface in dreamlike ways. Something growing deep within Lilia will not allow her to forget, yet she refuses to identify as a victim and will fight to liberate herself.

Pasha, a refuge who has been sent to live with his aunt in a charming seaside village, and Misha, the son of an influential family from the opposite camp. As war looms on the horizon, their friendship-precious yet fragile-is severely tested by rising nationalism and loyalty to their families and homeland. The story of two young boys forming an unlikely friendship during wartime, despite the opposing forces that surround them.

This observational documentary follows different figures in their lives along the 12-km-long promenade of Opatija, Croatia.
