Danila goes to his successful brother, Victor, in Petersburg to start a new life. Unknown to Danila, Victor is a contract killer, but is in hiding after asking for too much money to assassinate a Chechen mob boss. To avoid exposure, Victor convinces Danila to kill the boss instead.

The main character was a standout high school student and graduated university at the highest level. When he reached his 30-s he has found himself a failure: his wife left him for a successful boxer, he got fired from a misearable job, and a morgage that he had to keep up paying off for years ahead. At the most desperate moment the character finds out that that his cunning classmate (Danila Kozlovsky) has become a prosperous businessman and announced a competition for high school students with the prize fund of over a million or rubbles. The main character looks a lot younger than he is, he even gets asked if he is of age when buying alcholol. He gets rid of his beard, fakes his DOB in ID and decides to take a chance in the competition assured that expirience can take over youth.

There is no place for fantasies in the life of lawyer Pyotr Bezuglov. His life is nothing but rules, which he strictly observes. One day, his son Vanechka finds the letters that Pyotr wrote to Santa Claus as a child and puts them in the New Year's mailbox. In the morning, all of Bezuglov's childhood wishes begin to come true and not only Pyotr himself is in danger, but also his family and, possibly, the whole world.

The film is based on real events that took place in Moscow in the early 1980s. A KGB officer in plain clothes returning late at night is detained by a police patrol at the Zhdanovskaya metro station. The officer, who began to actively protest against the arbitrariness, was taken to the police duty room and severely injured. After that, the police officers decided to finish off their victim and take the body away and dump it outside the city. The investigation is entrusted to Gleb Yarin, an investigator with the USSR Prosecutor's Office. Soon he finds himself involved in a confrontation between two irreconcilable rivals — the KGB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The senior police leadership is determined to cover up the scandal between the security agencies by any means necessary.

Preserving the text of the play, the amazing dialogues, the brilliant characters, we have transposed the action into today’s Russian provinces and changed only one thing: the age of the heroes. In Anton Chekhov’s play the heroines are aged around 25; now they are 55. What does that do? The heroes’ retorts, stylistically inappropriate from today’s twenty-year-olds, are absolutely organic for the older generation, the ‘Soviet’ intelligentsia. The problems of Chekhov’s classical work concerning the search for a meaning in life, the loss of ideals, the fear before death without having achieved anything in the world, the desire to be useful to others – all these things are also a typical attribute of the Soviet intelligentsia.

Mr. Clark flies to Namibia, instructing his nephew to put the watch in the hotel safe. Naturally, on the same evening, the watch is stolen...

And no one yet knows that tomorrow her father will leave for his work in a district center and come back a few hours later in a home guard uniform only to say goodbye to his family. And that at the moment of their leave-taking the Germans already will be entering the village. And that they will be shot by the river, on the same bank where only yesterday the carefree, happy family was sunbathing and having fun…”

A Russian town is terrorized by a monstrous vampire, named Upyr. Upyr turns everyone into a slave, then kills. Even the Russian Mafia boss is killed, and others are in fear, because Upyr cannot be killed by a bullet. Only one fearless man brings hope to people.
