The Population has been decimated. The survivors began to kill themselves and themselves, no one found any more sense to give birth to children... but not for everyone... there are some who, keeping their human nature intact, did not give up and organized themselves to survive. Due to a sudden arrival, a group of nine surviving members whose day is marked by scouting for food, working at ovens, and queuing for water will have to contend with the harsh reality outside their shelter. The boys will face a dark sect of monks, heinous raiders, and a sinister presence in the woods. Old-world grudges and violence will resurface among the boys, leading to revelations and twists until the unexpected epilogue.

Damien grew up in Geneva, never knowing his father. At thirty-two, he suddenly learns that he is the direct heir of an Englishman living in Taiwan. Damien flies to Taipei where he meets his Taiwanese half-brother Steven. Their inheritance is suspended, on account of two other missing heirs. Damien and Steven set out to find them on the island.

The film immerses us in the imaginary world of witchcraft crimes. This historical Swiss documentary reveals the workings of a hellish judicial machinery that put thousands of men, women and children at the stake.
