Under My Skin is inspired by real people and events, and it accurately depicts the realities, triumphs, and struggles of people living with HIV, while navigating an important conversation about acceptance and tolerance. The show introduces us to a number of characters – Jonathan, Greg, Syd, and Mario whose relationships are tested when Jonathan gets infected; Dino, an HIV-positive teen whose status is discovered through a contraction of tuberculosis; Mary Rose, a mother who unknowingly passed down the virus to her son after getting it from her husband; a gay beauty parlor employee experiencing work-related discrimination, and more. Their stories of love, pain, and acceptance are revealed through Dr. Gemma Almonte, who is studying the spread of the devastating virus.

During their magical journey, they find out the truth about heroes and how anybody, no matter how old or young they are, can be one.

The Palanca Award-winning musical 1896, is PETA’s thundering musical production and first and only sung-through musical. Written by Charley dela Paz with music by Lucien Letaba, the musical was staged in the run-up to the Philippine centennial celebrations in 1998 and rerun a number of times after, starred Ariel Rivera as Emilio Jacinto, Rody Vera as Andres Bonifacio, and Bodjie Pascua/Lionel Guico as Emilio Aguinaldo and Noel Cabangon as Jose Rizal. It was, in the words of political commentator Manuel L. Quezon III, “the highlight of the Centennial celebrations and a musical I wish would be constantly performed.” 1896 is directed by theater stalwart, the late Soxie Topacio.
