A mock-heroic 1798 poem Eneida is magnum opus of the first modern Ukrainian writer Ivan Kotliarevsky. It's a parody of Virgil's Aeneid, where Kotliarevsky transformed the Trojan heroes into Ukrainian Cossacks.

Three friends lived in a Ukrainian village. They were not rich, so they were happy to take up the proposed small job. They had to go to another village at a dark night. On the way, they saw a small farmhouse and a cottage, where they decided to spend the night. Thus very strange mystical events began.

An old man lived with his wife, and they did not have kids. To not be bored, they took a duck found in the woods. But with them, she did not shed her feathers, so they decided to find out everything by themselves.

In the adaptation of a poem by Taras Shevchenko in the last third of XVIII a small fraction of 300 Cossacks who were enslaving their own people for Turkey and were executed by other Zaporizhian Sich Cossacks are reanimated as living dead at one cold night.

A collection of short stories based on real-life situations revealing the characteristic features of some people with humor. Some of the characters are methodically trying to achieve a different result, while making the same action over and over again. It is interesting that someone even does it. Not typical twists of plot lines and brightness of the images supplement the film.

Through the prism of the past years an elderly man is looking at his childhood and adolescence. He clearly recalls the events as if they were yesterday, and mean the same thing, as if those are not matter of days gone by, but his present, which is perceived to heart and soul. There is he and his beloved dog, and there are his parents.

In a strange alien landscape, its denizens receive a visit from an alien visitor who isn't what he seems.
