Butty is the clumsy household robot of a family and tries to do his best every day. When he blows up the oven and destroys the lasagne, he ruins daughter Ally's long-awaited birthday party. Her mother is furious and tells him to fix it, but he only makes things worse. The mother tells him to go away. Butty is so ashamed that he leaves his family.

Jens and his male flatmates live together in an apartment without doors. The open coexistence is called into question by the visit of a girl and causes the community to falter.

In 2020, Toni, Mia, Matze, Pauli, and Elena decide to isolate themselves in a holiday home - and spend a nice time together despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. But gradually the initial euphoria makes room for everyday boredom and unhealthy ways of dealing with isolation, which threaten to escalate. And the attempt to retain a certain feeling of freedom is repeatedly thwarted by existential fears.

The sun is setting on couples Rico and Eva and Friedrich and Julia's forest road trip. Tight bonds have formed across the group, none more so than between free-spirited Rico and vertical thinker Friedrich, who is coming to terms with a side of his sexuality that had previously remained in the shadows. As the foursome drink, party, swim and while away the hours by a picturesque lake, the food supplies dwindle, and the sheen starts to come off their idyllic escape.

27-year-old Maggie has a date in her crush's apartment. When she suddenly gets her period during dinner, she flees to the bathroom, where she is confronted by a little monster in her head that has been making her life difficult for far too long.
