A lonely, divorced doctor falls in love with a mysterious woman in rural America, only to discover she is channeling the raw forces of Mother Nature toward an apocalyptic purpose. He must then decide whether to save the woman he loves or the world she intends to destroy.

After finding himself in a wrecked taxi, Evan tries to figure out the pieces of the puzzle, while dealing with a dangerous threat, in a seemingly deserted city.
