Pole - a mentally ill 17-year-old - lives in a luxurious estate, leads a profligate lifestyle and shows an unhealthy affection for his mother Sofia. Soon in the life of Pole and Sofia appear a young boy Antuan and his father Mark. Pole has a relationship with Antuan, and Sofia with Mark. But no matter how successful everything seems to be, the appearance of Antuan and Mark leads everyone to tragedy.

An essay-style account of the war from the perspective of three generations of women - those of the director, her mother, and that of her grandmother. Originally from Donetsk - an industrial city in eastern Ukraine - the family was uprooted in 2014 when the Russian war against Ukraine first commenced. By 2022, the same enemy once again began knocking on the door of their new home -which was now in Kyiv- and once again destroyed everything that the family had worked so hard to rebuild. Thrown into the limbo of exile, the director (she is also the narrator of the film) dives into a kaleidoscope of memories and chronicles both her personal and collective familial search for something to hold on to amid these turbulent times.

Nadya works as a manicurist, lives a happy life with her husband Vasyl, who justifies his inactivity with a big tail (like a fish) instead of legs, she does not notice that he uses her and is a parasite on relationships, until Vasyl's act happens, which she cannot to forgive, and this forever changes her attitude towards herself.

In a secluded mansion on the outskirts of Kyiv, a young man awaits the return of his close friend, who is on leave from military service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The friends must find time to carry out several of their cherished rituals, including taking a photograph together. But what is the memory they are capturing in this photo, and what is the ultimate ritual the old mansion holds secret?

By night, Liudmyla works as a toilet cleaner in a fashionable music club where she meets obnoxious and spoiled people who disrespect her because of her job. During the day time she looks after her husband, who is sick with Alzheimer disease. The contrast between her professional life, in close proximity to the very rich and their over the top surroundings, and the modest manner in which she lives her life slowly leads Liudmyla to a mental break-down. The only amusement or release that she has - is her platonic attraction towards an angelic and sexy women singer - who herself has no interest towards Liudmyla whatsoever. When Liudmyla can't bare this dull routine any longer, she begins to fantasize that she can run away from her responsibilities toward her husband, to leave him in the "swarm" of other "unwanted people".

The 1990s. A train heads toward the Azov Sea, carrying children from Chornobyl to a pioneer camp for recuperation. Among them are two girls who got free vouchers dishonestly and consider themselves cool—unlike the others, they come from a big city and know what real fashion is and how to behave with boys.
