Avant-Drag! paints portraits of ten drag artists of varying gender expressions and sexualities who take to the streets of Athens to query, problematise and (yes, please!) undermine social strictures. Employing wildly imagined personas – like riot housewives and Albanian turbo-folk girls – who perform acts as revolutionary as praising abortion and as charming as drawing childish pictures, these artists call for social justice by taking aim at conservatism, patriarchy, patriotism, racism and sexism.

When a young country boy becomes of age, he must face his family's rite of passage.

Eva (11) lives with her mother, Alexandra (35), homeless and unbound by rules. By day, they get by through petty theft; at night, they sleep peacefully in their car, living in a utopia of their own—until the limits of that world are put to the test.

Katerina and Alkis live with Grandpa. Their parents have gone to Alaska to seek their fortune. When Grandpa falls and does not get up, things become difficult. Fortunately, there is always dancing.
