In Jakarta, a young journalist struggling to escape from the confines of familiar obligations, receives a telegram informing him that his mother is dying.

This film is an expression of the way of life of adolescents as told from the point of view of the teenagers themselves as they rebel against the world of adults. Susan (Nunu Datau), Dody (Adjie Massaid) dan Rini (Cornelia Agatha) are students at SMA 2000. They have unconsciously formed a kind of gang. The film follows the activities of these young people while they are in school, on holiday, and just hanging around. The film focuses on Rini, nicknamed “tomboy”, an expert in karate who dreams of being a martial arts master and hero.
