Dovey's Promise is a courtroom drama about Dovey Roundtree's brilliant defense of Raymond Crump in the Tow-path murder trial of 1965, in which the victim was Mary Pinchot Meyer, the last mistress of JFK. It was Dovey against the vast resources of the U.S. Department of Justice. Joy White stars as the indomitable Dovey Roundtree.

Sheriff Joe Haladin is back, and this time, a vicious ex-con returns to Arlettsville and commits a crime so vile, it consumes the whole town and the whole country. Evil knows no bounds, but neither does Sheriff Joe.
