Robinson, appropriately named as we will soon discover, is on vacation in Biarritz with his wife. What follows is the story behind the loss of his arm, a story that becomes increasingly bizarre and eventually apocalyptic, leading us down a narrative path of labyrinthine complexity. The resulting film is an extraordinary feat of imagination and daring, set against the backdrop of a world on the verge of destruction.

Meanwhile, Clara, a middle age Spanish-Argentine mother gets a strange present from a now dying childhood friend in Buenos Aires. It's a roll of Super 8 film which brings back very strong, and emotionally charged memories from the 1970s and before.

Isra and Cheito are two brothers who have taken very different paths in life. When Isra gets released from prison and Cheito comes home after a long tour with the Marines, they both return to the island of San Fernando. The reunion of the two brothers will bring with it the memory of the violent death their father suffered when they were just boys; the need to get back on track with their lives and finally come to terms with what happened will bring them together again.

"Caracremada" ("Burnface" in Catalan), a nickname given by the Spanish Civil Guard to Ramon Vila Capdevila, reflects about the libertarian resistance against Franco's regime through the last active guerrilla fighter. In 1951 the CNT ordered the retreat of its militants; however Ramon Vila remained in the woods of inland Catalonia where he restarted the fight operating on his own.

Yacine is in his 30s, of Algerian origins, and has come to Paris looking for inner peace. A playful and poetic quest leads him via all kinds of strange encounters to an increasingly surrealist world and to Andalusia: a state of mind.

Lluís Maria Xirinacs, a religious man, philosopher and political activist, leaves Barcelona on a Monday in August 2007 for the mountains. It was the day he turned seventy-five. Six days later, a mushroom picker finds him lying in a meadow, dead. Ten years later, Duna, a writer in a creative and personal crisis, searches for the ultimate meaning of this death.
