Cinémathèque Suisse

Thirteen Swiss filmmakers, each from their own point of view, chronicle and reconstruct the narrative of Swiss cinema, from its beginning to the present day, and in doing so, retrace the history of the country.

During the course of a series of voyages, the pocket cameras of Pippo Delbono capture unique moments, ordinary and extraordinary meetings. From a hotel room in Paris to another in Budapest, from Istanbul to Bucharest, the journeys weave a fabric of the contemporary world. Its testimonials – some famous, others anonymous – say or dance their vision of the universe.

A documentary film in which Fabrice Aragno assembles a range of footage from the archives of Radio Télévision Suisse, the Cinémathèque suisse and Cinéma en tête by Freddy Buache’s partner Marie-Magdeleine Brumagne.
