Innocenzo is a 39 years old cistercenses monk, ceramist and singer for the abbey he lives in, but new obligations arise as the parson of the village is transfered. He finds himself face to face with the complexity of community life and starts to question his identity as a person and man of faith.

The life of Giorgio, a mediocre journalist, changes abruptly when the director of the newspaper decides to transfer him to a provincial office. Only the kidnapping of young Carlo gives him back his work as a correspondent.

The film documents the events around September 20th, 2023: the killing of nine innocent pigs, the disproportionate use of violence against those who defended them, and the ensuing struggle to obtain justice.

Diego is 17 and is full of life, yet fragile. His best friend Antonio knows and indulges his weaknesses, but he would also like to see him strong and masculine. One night they meet Maria, a breezy natural beauty. To show that he is a 'real man', Diego, is ready to do anything, even to force himself to do things he would never have wanted to do.

Desdemona, a troubled DJ, hosts a late-night radio show called “L'insonne”. Her listeners are often strange creatures of the night who share their stories and fears. This time, however, she receives a call from Luca, a child in a hospital room. Desdemona senses the shadow of worry in his voice, and her instinct is to investigate, because sometimes even a whisper can hide a terrifying case.
