Late summer of 2007, South of Brazil. Joana, 13, wants to find out why her great-aunt Rosa died at 70 without ever having dated anyone. Encouraged by her friend Carolina, Joana starts an investigation about Rosa’s past. As she confronts the values of her community, Joana realizes that all the women in her family have a secret, while something hidden inside her also reveals. She plunges into her imagination to find answers while a large wind power plant is being built in their small town.

Chiara is the matriarch of an Italian-descendent family torn apart. After her youngest son moves out, she decides to go along with Alfredo, her husband, on his trips as a salesman in the bars of Serra Gaucha. Nalu lives with Ruben, her father, in a small country town near the Brazilian border with Uruguay. When Ruben realizes that his daughter is becoming a woman, an ambiguous closeness begins to develop between them.

Mônica is an actress in a crisis triggered by the overexposure of her life as a celebrity. Young Kelly is not aware of that when she unsuccessfully tries to speak to Mônica as she is leaving a film shooting, in Brazil's countryside. Kelly will not give up and decides to try to meet her muse again.
