It has been 20 years since The Island was unleashed on Flanders. After all these years, fans of the series are rewarded with an exclusive reunion special, in which thirteen original cast members and the creators reunite for a unique look back.

Their last summer vacation before they start working and living together in Ghent. The friends head to a sunny destination, where Wout has been working at a beach bar for several weeks. But what was supposed to be a fun vacation turns out completely differently.

Three waves, two lockdowns, and a huge attention deficit later, Xander De Rycke is ready to share his thoughts with you again. In the continuation and expansion of this coronavirus special, he talks about his experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdowns in our country. The perfect opportunity to have a good laugh at that virus and all its consequences. On stage at OLT Rivierenhof, Xander talks at length about corona etiquette, erection-enhancing drugs, how he himself fell victim to the virus, and that time he lost his temper in the supermarket. Enough material to give you a fit of laughter. De Rycke started performing the show in the summer of 2020, but eventually had to shut it down due to the second lockdown. The new lockdown(s) gave the comedian enough material to make 'Uitgerust & Immuun' even more extensive, with the real 2.0 version.

In this end of the year special, Joost Vandecasteele profiles himself as a correspondent of the only war everyone is involved in, including Aunt Trudy, namely the culture war. Prepare for sharp jokes, blunt insults and unnecessary outpourings.
