The Lake is about the threatening forces of nature and the inevitable human fate. The image distorted by the human psyche comes to life when the main character encounters different unexplained situations that challenge his logic. Forced to act upon his instincts, his actions lead to his demise.

A love story about Mimoza (Moza) and Boge, who got married through matchmakers that is, Boge from Macedonia bought himself a bride from Albania. Moza, wanting to escape the poverty and difficult life in Albania, ends up in even greater poverty in the village Kosovo (Makedonski Brod).

Joseph Bagheri, who was self-taught and learned to read and write at the age of 18, is one of the last revivalists. He is one of the most significant figures of the 19th century, a period of national renewal: Bagheri rose as a hero against five centuries of Ottoman slavery, fighting for freedom and national dignity.
