Flash Gordon, Dale Arden and Dr. Hans Zarkov travel to the planet Mongo to fight the evil emperor Ming the Merciless.

After a wild dream, Popeye, along with Bluto, Olive, Wimpy, and Swee'pea, takes to the seas to rescue his long-lost absent father for the holidays, while the dastardly Sea Hag tries to stop the rag-tag crew from breaking a mysterious and fateful prophecy.

A mysterious plague, the Purple Death, ravages the earth. Dr. Zarkov, investigating in his spaceship, finds a ship from planet Mongo seeding the atmosphere with dust. Sure enough, Ming the Merciless is up to his old tricks. So it's back to Mongo for Flash, Dale, and Zarkov.

Disaster seems imminent when scientists discover that the planet Mongo is about to crash into Earth. Luckily, heroic young Flash Gordon is on hand to lead an investigative mission into outer space and onto the speedily approaching planet. There, he and his best girl, Dale, who is along for the ride, learn that Ming, the devious ruler of Mongo, has purposely put the planet on a collision course with Earth, and only Flash can stop him.

Popeye is a super-strong, spinach-scarfing sailor man who's searching for his father. During a storm that wrecks his ship, Popeye washes ashore and winds up rooming at the Oyl household, where he meets Olive. Before he can win her heart, he must first contend with Olive's fiancé, Bluto.

Popeye, Olive Oyl and more King Features Syndicate comic strip characters are invited on a cruise hosted by Professor Grimsby, a mad scientist who wants to eliminate laughter from the world. When the ship is held hostage on his island lair, it's up to the much more action-inclined Mandrake the Magician, Steve Canyon, and Flash Gordon (among others) to save the funnymakers from their eternal inprisonment.

The wicked Blue Meanies take over Pepperland, eliminating all color and music. As the only survivor, the Lord Admiral escapes in the yellow submarine and journeys to Liverpool to enlist the help of the Beatles.

Rough House is prepared to resist any and all of Wimpy's attempts to cheat him out of hamburgers. Wimpy's con job begins with buying a single raw oyster.

Barney Google trying to make a big singing star out of Snuffy. Snuffy sings as his machine would chop wood. Barney Google tried to get a recording contract for Snuffy and the machine (hopefuly a gimmick), but the machine turned out uncontrollable.

Snuffy, Loweezy, and Barney are stranded in the city. When Loweezy goes to find some vittles for them, she meets an actress, Beulah Beulah, who is to play a hillbilly woman in a stage drama. Loweezy helps the actress research the role, even to Beulah's dressing exactly like Loweezy. But confusion ensues when Snuffy sees Beulah outside the theater and mistakes her for Loweezy.

The world's favorite comic strip couple trades places when Blondie gets a job after Dagwood Bumstead gets fired again.

Popeye is now the manager of a service station, he provides a good service with free extras. Brutus comes along only wanting the free extras, including free access to another customer, Olive Oyl.

A heavy condensation of the original serial compresses the original thirteen episodes into an efficient 97 minute feature. Snuffy, Barney and Louise are stranded in the big city with no money for a mule and a wagon until a pair of gangsters offer to buy them one if they will just deliver a note and a satchel to the nearby bank. Desperately in need of funds to return to Hootin' Holler, Snuffy gets a job helping out the men by standing guard outside of a building... not realizing that he's becoming an unwitting pawn to a pair of bank robbers. The chase is on. The only clue to the robbery is a photograph of Snuffy's hat

Olive tells Popeye and Brutus she'll go out with the first one who brings her back the North Pole -- which turns out to be an actual pole with red and white stripes.

Popeye is walking across the street, while Wimpy is practicing his hamburger-mooching talk. Brutus notices him and puts growth pills on a hamburger. Wimpy then eats it, and it causes him to grow very big. Brutus takes the towering moocher to the circus, but they refuse to hire him. Wimpy seeks help from the Sea Hag, who puts him in a baby carriage. Popeye sees his friend's large size and tries to shrink him down by feeding him spinach, but it only makes him grow bigger. He gives Wimpy a hamburger, which turns him back to normal. Wimpy thanks Popeye and promises to pay him Tuesday for today's hamburger.

Popeye, Olive and Wimpy take an unintended trip to the moon, which is inhabited by cheese-people and tyrannized by the Big Cheese.
