Sibiry Konate, a contemporary dance choreographer of African descent who wants to bring balance to an unbalanced world, seeks connection and meaning between and torn between his old and new home countries. So he decides to give a valuable gift to his village in Africa.

It is the 27th anniversary of Thomas Sankara's assassination. Children busy themselves in the piles of rubble, buffeted by the wind... They walk tirelessly in search of plastic bags, which they exchange with adults for a small wage. Once their work is done, they can become children again, laughing and playing, before another hard day's work begins.

Many people died in the village of Ziglo, in western Côte d’Ivoire, during the 2011 civil war. Having waited too long for state justice, Josiane, known as Maman Jo, a native woman who had lost several members of her family, decided to take the village’s destiny into her own hands by creating a space for women to speak out.
