Two artists conduct philosophical disputes about practicing art.

Seven-year-old Marek - a lonely boy, lost, desperately seeking warmth and love. His parents are two young scientists, completely devoted to their careers. She is just finishing her doctoral thesis, he is sketching new projects to promote him. They apply rigor and ruthless discipline to the child. No bond connects them with a child. They do not try to understand his needs, have no idea about his dreams, problems. Marek falls into severe depression. In the doctor's office, Marek notices a cat. He is awakened by the overwhelming desire to have his own pet - a longed-for friend. Of course, the parents do not even want to hear about it. Marek secretly, for buying pocket money, he buys a cricket - a creature that is small enough to hide from the eyes of his parents.

The trials and tribulations of a peasant's life in the 30's, finally overshadowed by the destructiveness of war.

First days of September 1939. The government decides to transport the Polish gold stored in the treasury of the National Bank of Poland out of the threatened Warsaw. A convoy is formed under the command of the man for special tasks, Major Bobruk. A string of trucks and city buses travel along crowded roads under relentless attack by aircraft. The convoy makes its way through Lublin to Romanian territory, where the gold will be reloaded onto a train. Prime Minister Calinescu, disregarding the threats of the Nazis, agrees to the transit of the precious bullion through his country. The evacuation of the gold is threatened all the time by a special German sabotage group under the command of Second Lieutenant Rudolf Lang.

Poland 1946. Militia looks for commander of anticommunist partisans called Grom (Thunder). It quickly comes out that militiamen have to discover a rat in their group.

Wacław Kaczmarski has been breeding pigeons for many years, which is a family tradition (his grandfather and father bred pigeons before him). The birds are an important part of his life; he spends every free moment with them, and they are his escape from everyday worries. Kaczmarski and his family live in Targówek in old apartments that are scheduled for demolition. He gets a new apartment in Ursynów, where he immediately installs pigeon boxes on the balcony. The neighbors are outraged.

The problem of the Polish population displacement from their land within the limits of the Prussian partition. Germans come to the village harassing a wealthy peasant Snail, leading to the tragedy. Slug's cottage burns, his wife dies. The peasant does not give up, defending his inheritance. He sticks on a patch of his Polish soil and protects it like a soldier his post.

A tale of medieval quest for a golden harp called "the Knight".

Two youngsters vacationing at the Black Sea sneak onto a mysterious ship and spy the peculiar activities of a treasure-seeking crew. They are discovered and imprisoned as the ship heads for an uncharted island. Their parents put together an expedition and after numerous adventures the treasure hunters are apprehended and the mystery of a secret cove is solved.

Presenting a different approach to life, the three brothers meet at their father's funeral.

Three Polish mathematicians are the first to crack the sophisticated Enigma code used by the Germans just before the Second World War. They build replicas of the Enigma machines and manage to get two of the machines to the British and French code-breakers before the German invasion of Poland in 1939; they ask that recognition be given to their work at the end of the war. After the invasion, the Polish cipher bureau escapes and continues their decoding in Algeria and unoccupied France.

The five participants in the meeting for the construction of a luxury hotel meet years later at its opening.

September 13, 1944. On the right bank of the Vistula, a group of young people is getting ready to cross to help the fighting Warsaw. Tadeusz, a young poet with amputated legs meets Katarzyna. Katarzyna is raped by one of them in front of the powerless Tadeusz. . . Two boats are sinking crossing the Vistula. Tadeusz falls into the river with a wheelchair ...

Through the fates of representatives of two generations - fathers and sons - an attempt to capture the social and moral changes caused by the industrial transformation of the country. The film consists of two novellas: "Annunciation" by Lech Majewski and "Home" by Krzysztof Sowinski.

Poland in the mid-1970s. In a small town, the student theater is preparing its premiere.

He is convinced he killed her and because of his past thinks that nothing matters anymore. Only when he finds out that the victim did not die, he reveals the truth about what happened.

1956. Stefan Madejski, a former KBW lieutenant, is released from prison and rehabilitated. Ten years ago he fought against the gangs, but his brutal and ruthless methods aroused opposition. Because he let go of a band member, his former AK unit colleague, he was brought before a military court and sentenced to fifteen years. Now he is trying to find the people who put him in prison. These encounters give him nothing but bitterness.

Grachow, a researcher, is to escort a car to a distant place of the foreign exchange horse Favorite. The driver of Locha drives fast, although he was supposed to not exceed a speed of 30 km per hour. They experience various adventures along the way. Grachow, who drives the car, cannot control the speeding machine, he saves himself at the last moment by jumping out of the cabin. The car with the horse on the platform rolls down to the river ...
