This story was created with cinematic imagination based on the true story of a North Korean defector family and a Mongolian border guard who chose the escape route to Mongolia.

The Prius Boss is a sequel to the 2013 Micron Boss, which ends with the main characters of the previous film, Chicken, Baaya, and Bald, becoming friends. "Prius Boss" begins with Chicken and Baaya selling their micros and buying a Prius and taking a taxi. But a group of car thieves receives an order to steal 50 Priuses, and the adventure begins when those thieves steal Chicken and Baaya's Prius.

"Everyone waits for different things in life. Waiting for the day to go on a trip, putting money into savings every month; waiting for the day a loved one returns after graduation; being starving and waiting for your instant noodles to cook after pouring in hot water... It's difficult, yet exciting, and also requires patience... So then, what is it like... to wait for life itself?"

Any number of superlatives describe Mongolia's capital; most remote, fastest growing, coldest and hippest. Ulaanbaatar is the loudest city you've never heard. Two young Mongolian musicians discover identity, purpose and love whilst creating the music of the city.
