In Egypt forties and before the 14th of July revolution in 1952, a poor family lives in a prince's palace where the father works as a gardener. The family has two children Ali and Hassan. Ali grows up liking the prince's daughter who loves him too. Now grown ups, they realize how impossible this love story is. Joining the army, Ali fights in Palestine while the brother joins the police and is part of the King's guards. Ali gets back from Palestine and joins the secret military movement that will soon rule Egypt, The Free Officers. The revolution starts and the Free Officers are now in charge, putting Ali against his brother as a guard for the king and also against his lover, the prince's daughter as the revolution will confiscate all her family's wealth.

A man suffers from a heart attack so he sends his daughter to get medicine for him. After providing the medicine for the girl, the pharmacist discovers that he has unknowingly mixed a poisonous elixir. Reporting what happened to the police, the chief officer of Cairo starts an intriguing, full-fledged campaign to save the man before he takes the lethal medicine.

Naim, who decides to take revenge on Narges' widow, Wasfi, who caused him to be imprisoned, so he makes an agreement with Dalal in order to plan to seize Narcissus’s money. Her money to him, but he discovers it's not easy at all.

On his way home one day, Morsi finds a child at the side of a road. He feels sorry for her, and takes her home with him to raise alongside his own daughter, Saniyya. The two girls become quite close over the years. When Morsi dies, their lives take very different paths, after a lot of suffering. While Sanniya falls in love with, and plans to marry, a wealthy man, Naimat falls into the grasp of a woman who is the ringleader of a number of beggars and pick-pockets.

On a train, a teacher meets the collector who enters his compartment and has an attack and the teacher thinks that he killed him by accident. He escapes and meets his daughter and tries to atone for what he thinks he has committed, and he helps her become a famous singer.

Two friends are married and happy, and each of them has his own life ideas. The first believes that he must limit children and be content with his only child. He forces his wife to take medication so that she will not have children again. As for the second friend, he has many children. The first friend’s only daughter dies, his financial conditions improve, and he becomes a man. He is rich and thinks he can have children.
