On the outskirts of São Paulo city, a train cuts through an indigenous territory. Within this territory, Jera dreams, and in her dreams the city invades her village. In the same community, Rete, an animal that can move through different dimensions, remembers the history of an ancient river, swallowed by the city centuries ago.

A group of friends from São Paulo head for a secluded beach to celebrate New Year’s. Together they relax, sunbathe and make music. And they talk: about their sexuality, their bodies, their hair, their youth, their fears, certainties and uncertainties, as anyone does sometimes with good friends. Along the way, we learn a lot about contemporary Brazil.

Tiró, an indigenous elder of the Mbya Guarani people, recalls a story from his youth: an unexpected encounter with a jaguar. Years later, the residents of the village of Tekoa Mirim (Praia Grande, SP) decide to reenact that event.
