Léo is dragged to a nudist camping resort by his mother. Like most boys at the age of 12 or 13, being nude in public holds little appeal for Léo, who protests by wearing extra layers. Until he meets a certain special girl, who captures his heart and releases his inhibitions.

Director Arnaud de Pallières presents an experimental three-part film designed to stimulate the intellect and inspire reflection on the past. The first part tells the story of the last living Holocaust survivor, who is nearing the end of life and regrets not leaving behind an official record of the horrors he witnessed during the dark years of World War II. Later, a young historian researching a concentration camp in Drancy is shocked to discover that the site now houses an unwelcoming housing project called La Muette (the Silent). The trilogy winds to a close with the story of a ship's captain who recalls the time he ventured up an uncharted river towards an undiscovered civilization.

A wretched man wanders the streets of Cap-Haitien, dreaming of his imaginary kingdom. He thinks he's the King Christophe, the first ruler of the New World, a former slave and liberator of Haiti in 1804. Out of town, "King Chacha," as he is known, took refuge in the imposing ruins of the castle of Sans Souci along with Timothy, a street urchin he took under his wing. Here he reconstructs a junk yard where reigns absurdly.

The loss of his father’s dog, the time passing by, a lonely evening, a walk during the night, make him think about himself.

“Crossdresser” is an unusual film built on a parallel world of transformation and utter secrecy. Four portraits of men who, from time to time, ritualistically dress and make up their faces as women, as the name of the documentary indicates.
