Asa, a young and cheerful dreamer, returns from his Russian naval service to his sister’s nomadic family on the desolate Hunger Steppe of central Asia, so that he can begin his own life as a shepherd. But before he can tend a flock of his own, Asa must first win the hand of the only eligible girl for miles—his mysterious neighbor, Tulpan.

Plagued by a condition that makes his skeleton literally jump out of his skin, a museum worker struggles to keep his body in one piece.

Ethiopia is one of the countries with the strongest population growth and a particularly high rate of rural exodus. Every year millions of young people flock to cities in search of a better life. An international team of architects and Ethiopian farmers have joined forces to tackle the problem. Their project: A model town with agriculture.
