Sifting the Evidence: The World of the Bible poster
Movie

Dr. Chris Sinkinson presents in a thoughtful, accessible and engaging manner, demonstrating through on site location and interviews with experts, that archaeology affirms that the Bible is reliable and fits with important events that occurred in the ancient world. He cites Jerome who considered Israel the “fifth gospel” and his avid interest and expertise in the land and history is clearly evident. Indeed if we visit and study Israel, that will illumine and enrich our understanding of the Bible. Interestingly and additionally, when Blaise Pascal was asked by Louis XIV for evidence for the existence of God, he simply similarly responded, “The Jews, your majesty, the Jews.”

Dr. David Livingstone: Missionary Explorer to Africa poster
Movie

In the early part of the nineteenth century, Africa was called the dark continent. One man s passion for Christ would challenge that view. Dr. David Livingstone took the Gospel to Africa in word and deed. As a medical doctor he treated the sick, earning him the necessary trust and respect to share the love of Christ which many Africans freely embraced. Then Livingstone turned his attention to exploration, seeing this work as much a spiritual calling as traditional missionary work. Facing danger and sickness he forged routes deep into the African interior, sparking the imagination of many who would follow. Hailed as one of the greatest European explorers of all time, his commitment and eventual martyrdom helped bring an end to the slave trade and opened a continent to Christianity. Discover the story of David Livingstone and see how faith and sacrifice can change the world.

Samuel Morris: The African Missionary to North America poster
Movie

In 1892, 18-year-old Prince Kaboo of Liberia's Kru tribe had been captured by the rival Grebos. When Kaboo's people could not pay his ransom, the young prince was readied for execution. But at the last minute, there was a blinding flash of light and a mysterious voice that said, 'Run Kaboo, run!' Escaping his enemies, Kaboo found his way to an American Missionary outpost where he became a Christian. After learning all he could from the American missionaries, Kaboo (now taking on the name Samuel Morris as a witness to his new life) was determined to set out for America where he could learn more about his Savior. He survived a harrowing over-sea journey and amazed the hard-bitten sailors with his tenacious faith. Arriving in New York, Morris continued to tell his astonishing story to all who would listen.
