"Candlewood" follows a family that moves from New York City to a small, isolated town in Connecticut. Once there, their new neighbors and a local urban legend wreak havoc on the family, fracturing their once loving dynamic and causing them to turn on one another.

On Halloween night in New Salem, Radio DJs Chilly Billy and Paul tell a twisted anthology of terrifying local myths. Residents of the small-town experience horrifying paranormal encounters that lead them to a grim end.

Rico is tormented by nightmarish visions after enduring head trauma while camping in the Catskill Mountains. Billy creates a reality of horror for him by persuading Rico to go along with his beliefs which delve him deeper into despair.

As he pieces the story together, fiction and reality blur and he finds himself trapped and disoriented in a strange, dark house where a double murder has been committed.
