Two high schoolers, Mai and Ayumi, are transformed into superhuman fighters after being captured and genetically modified by the sinister Bogue organization. Donning suits powered by swan and wildcat genes, they escape and join forces with Mai's investigator aunt Reiko, whose life is in danger after being captured. Racing to save her, their desperate struggle for justice begins!

The story takes place in the alternate world slightly different from ours. In United Republic of Great Japan; which has become the world’s strongest nation; it is reported that a new breed of athletes is setting a phenomenal new world record, winning every sports game. Prompted by the pressure from other nations, the organization that supervises the country’s sports events, decides to look into the matter; but the entire investigation team goes missing just when it started the mission. What the investigation team witnessed was “Athlete-roid. Koumoto executive director of Great Japan Heavy Industries is planning to dominate the world market for special military-use robots by promoting the army of invincible “Athlete-roid.”...

Leona died in the fight with Pain and Gain. Her soul was captured in the prison called Soul Prison. It is graveyard of genies who were defeated by Leona. Genies think that Leona’s death is the best chance to revenge her.

Yui Yawana is a teacher of Urushigaoka Elementary School. She transforms into Fighter of the Sun Leona to fight evil.

Leona rescues a mysterious girl, Flea, who escapes from the pursuit of the demon king Garunte. The next day, Flea transforms herself as Mika, a transfer student, but is attacked by Hysteria, a PTA demon under Garnte’s command, when she realizes her true identity. While Leona bided her time, Mika (Flare) escaped the difficulty with the help of Sanpei. Garnte, who really wants to get his hands on Flea, lends his strength to Hysteria to resurrect the demons who were defeated by Leona in the past! Leona is facing eight demons at the same time, a formidable foe even if only one is present. She succeeds in getting Flea and Sanpei away, but they are beaten to perfection and taken away! The demons are trying to find out the whereabouts of Flea, carrying past grudges and blaming her! How is Leona’s fate?

Kirenji is so definitely NOT your typical Japanese girls' school. For example, while the word "hot" might describe an attractive girl at other places of higher education, at Kirenji it's more likely to mean "hot blooded," "hot tempered," and "ready for red hot action" - as in physical combat, that is! When 17-year-old Maki enrolls, thinking she's the baddest bad girl of them all, she quickly learns the hard way that at Kirenji she'll have to punch her way to the top of the shapely power pyramid... and it's just too bad that the equally intimidating Natsumu is standing in her path!
