The film is set in a place called Shantipur whose local messiah/ hero is Dev (essayed by Yash Daasguptaa) a flamboyant character who rides around town helping young and old. The people of Shantipur worship him like a true hero and women are crazy about him. Agni, a single mother (played by Rituparna Sengupta), is posted as a government official in the town who soon gets embroiled in a controversy that makes her come face to face with Dev. What happens next forms the crux of the story.

The film deals with a protagonist who just cannot commit to a relationship no matter how challenging the circumstance.

The happy life of eminent author Lahari Mukherjee turns upside down when on their first marriage anniversary her husband goes missing and Inspector Dibyendu Bakshi is appointed to investigate the disappearance of Apurba.
