Meryem lost her family on a refugee boat that sank near the island of Kos while fleeing the war in Aleppo. Ibrahim, a coast guard chief who is about to retire, helps Meryem, who was the only survivor of the accident. Ibrahim retires, marries Meryem, and they settle in Bozdoğan.
