Ivan lives a quiet life with the two things he loves most: his wife and his plants. But his fascination with plants grows uncontrollably. He lets himself be carried away, and slowly but surely, the plant universe separates him from his wife and ultimately from this world.

In the near future, all seventeen-year-olds must take a test that assesses their physical and mental abilities. After the test, everyone receives a grade that will define their opportunities for the rest of their lives. William is on his way to the test, but during the test he realizes that there is something wrong with the system.

HP lives with his inner demons and manages to function in everyday life by keeping to himself. One day, he is disturbed by his friend, who insists that HP join him in town for a night of partying.
