Sri Siddhartha Gautama is a Sinhala movie released on 24 January, 2013. The movie is directed by Saman Weeraman and featured Anchal Singh and Gagan Malik as lead characters.

The story of a poor student from a village in Sri Lanka who was sent to a wealthy school in the country's capital city.

Two con artists move to a village that is ruled by tradition and defraud the villagers. When they come under suspicion, they move to the city and try to straighten their lives.

Ranmalee, a village girl talented in both music and dancing meets the son (Praveen) of a businessman who are on a visit to Ranmalee's village in search of a site to build their new hotel. Even though they had developed feelings for each other, Praveen's family doesn't accept their relationship. Meanwhile, Ranmalee comes across a photographer who's a friend of a leading entrepreneur (Sapumal) in the music industry and he helps her join Sapumal's dancing troupe. Ranmalee becomes very famous with her debut productions and Sapumal catches feelings for her. Ranmalee couldn't say "no" to her boss, but she's puzzled with the vibes from the relationship with Praveen.

An orphanage runs into trouble due to a strict disciplinarian and corrupt administrator. But a new teacher changes it all by proving that children can be controlled and nurtured through love and care.

As both work under rival ministers in the same political party, their clash over control of the underworld sparks a deadly conflict amid an escalating national crisis.

Ayeshmantha fails to take their family business in his hands because of the stress he's under since his girlfriend broke up with him, so he gives up everything and leaves home to start his own adventure. On the train, he meets Rashmi, who's a very talkative and an attractive girl who has been promised to a businessman by her family. Rashmi goes to find her true love Prasad with the help of Ayeshmantha and their adventures together in finding Prasad, makes them inseparable friends.
