Juan, a young man from Quito with extremist ideals, rejects his roots, and constantly tries to be someone else; soon the height of Quito will put him in the place where he belogns.

María and Isabel are two women in their fifties who, like many others, recycle in Quito, where there is no recycling system. María leads a collective fight for basic labor rights; while Isabel transmits her knowledge of environmental care while she raises her daughters.

Woojin, a 25-year-old Korean student tries to adjust to a new city where he doesn’t speak the language. Confusion, despair and bad breath makes him face his mental barriers and open himself to a different culture.

Satya was born in the countryside, in the middle of the world. Helen and Nicola, her mothers, wanted her to be born there, in the peace of his home. They wanted Satya to be Ecuadorian. Two weeks after her birth, Helen and Nicola went to the Ecuadorian Civil Registry office to register her daughter under both mothers' last names. Their request was denied. This is the story of a family established in a country with a Constitution that recognizes their rights but with a State that does not guarantee those rights and a society where many still deny them completely.

Felipe just wants to watch a movie at his girlfriend Alegría's house, but his friends have a very different idea of what the date will be and they give him romantic advice.
