A hundred year old woman called Nada and her 75-year old daughter Vera have a tense but familiar relationship. The childlike Vera takes care of her frail, mute though at times cruel, mother until one evening a bat flies into Nada's room and starts hibernating underneath her bed. The animal's presence gradually reinvigorates the old woman, eternally and fatally changing the relationship between mother and daughter.

Elias, 10, is afraid of losing his mother who at times disappears from his life due to her fluctuating mental illness. Missing her desperately, Elias tries to hold on to the magical fantasy world that the two of them share together.

Two girls meeting at a porn audition, getting infatuated by one another and going through a journey in one day and one night followed by one dominant male figure, whose face we never see, but who plays as the force that separates them. It is a film about friendship and a metaphor for power and dominance that gets in the way of woman who could connect more strongly otherwise. Other than carrying that message, the movie has dark humor, a flashy and at moments uncomfortable atmosphere and a distinctive East European girl aesthetic.
