On his birthday, a hitman reluctantly takes on the easy task of killing a writer, only to find the job a lot more difficult than expected.

The story of Liam, a neglected teenager who lives in a family where alcohol, violence and sex play the main role. He grows up to be a confused youngster which ends in a very aggressive act to break with his past.

Tony and Marie are passionate about Bangers, a trashy variant of the stock car. Following a tragedy, their couple falls appart. Tony hung up the races as Marie vent her anger onto the speedway in violent crashes. When problemes resurface, they have no choice but to resolve their dispute where their community has always solved them : on the speedway.

Three musicians form a band. But they're not just any musicians: each has a disability that makes them particularly unsuitable for their instrument. The guitarist is deaf, the singer is tone deaf, and the bassist has a stiff arm. They lack a drummer, and to respect the group's uniqueness, they turn to a famous writer who has never played the drums. Thierry, a world-famous cyclist, meets Fae, a sex worker, on his holiday in Senegal, and they sense in each other the love they seek. However, Thierry's career disgrace and Fae's refusal to register with the authorities threaten their dream.

Sam wakes up, gets ready and goes to do his daily job. And then the unexpected happens. A bomb explodes in the center of the shopping mall where he works. He drags himself towards the entrance to save the victims. One by one he pulls them out, until something terrible takes place. In complete hysteria he runs off till he falls down from exhaustion. A woman's voice makes him raise his head. She's one of the victims he saved. She wants to know why the suicide bomber did it. This encounter projects him back in history and even in a surreal world. Thereafter he runs into everyone he saved and feels that their defeat shows many parallels with his own. Even his confrontation with the wrongdoer isn't that straightforward as he thought it would be and confronts him with the fact that guilt and innocence can be pretty much alike.

As Ginto falls for another boy in the gang, he’s forced to confront his identity and desires amid violence and poverty. Meanwhile, Dutch tourist Michael, consumed by dark impulses, descends into the city’s red-light district. When their paths cross, Ginto faces an impossible choice that will shape both their fates in a world where innocence is currency and survival comes at a cost.

The death of Christine and the choice to bury her in Acanda lead to the unraveling of unexpected family secrets on the journey to her final resting place.

SUNU is a collaborative fashion short film on the new AW21 Project#9 SUNU from Antwerp based designer Jan - Jan Van Essche. The collective idea SUNU, meaning ‘our’ in the Wolof language, summarizes the sentiment of unity, fragility and inclusive interconnectivity. A sense of responsibility towards each other and what surrounds us. A solid bond, a strong connection, which needs to be cherished and praised but simultaneously guarded.

With COLLECTION#13 - ZEAL the designer wants to send out a message of encouragement, starting with a note to oneself. A motivation to lift up the spirit, to reawaken dormancy and to find strength and perseverance from within. A spring & summer wardrobe of individual garments; each sheltering one’s core with the utmost tenderness.

As we, the world and all creation are experiencing a collective transition, a new future awaits us all. Space & time become utter necessities for the acceptance of a new state of being, while our wounds slowly heal. In all humbleness, the CYCLE collection offers an alternative to help us through the now. A bright red, encouraging life force and passion for creation... an ode to love. Smoothly textured fabrics with soft caresses, sensible colors chosen to highlight the new cycle we are entering. The elements are in constant rotation.

After a bizarre accident leaves Fransje Hermans in a wheelchair, he seems doomed to live out his days in the sluggish village of Lomark. The accident leaves him unable to move or speak, and with the exception of one functional arm, his life seems hopeless. All that changes when charismatic newcomer Joe Speedboot arrives and forms an unlikely friendship with Fransje.

PROJECT#10 - A HORIZON is an attempt to create, while clearing the mind of obstructions and merely trusting the unknown. Trying to overrule distortion and to rise above the unnecessary noise, longing for a new paradigm; a contemporary way of understanding the whole and each other. Breaking through prevailing conditioning that limits the exploration of what we no longer perceive and desperately seek to re-establish.

The Making of Ex Drummer (2007), the debut feature by Koen Mortier. Based on the novel by Herman Brusselmans, the film follows three misfits who form a band and convince renowned author Dries to join them as their drummer. But once in, Dries begins to manipulate the group from within.
