Set in 1933, the mayor informs the peasants that the share of irrigation of their land will be split equally between them and feudal lord Mahmoud Bey. The peasants send Mohamed Effendi to submit a petition to the government. Mahmoud Bey then proposes a project that would require taking part of the peasants' lands.

The work deals with the story of the couple Hassan and Samia, who live happily, and disturbed their lives only some of the harassment of the mother of Samia to Hassan, until the situation changes when they give birth to their child (Hani), to use her mother Samia to care for the young and live with them at home and events escalate.

Three young fresh graduates who cannot adapt to their society and feel alienated, (Kamal) the young scientist who does not adapt with the few possibilities to do research that benefit his country, (Mustafa) the young man concerned with the issues of the country who collides with the opinions of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper in which he works as a journalist, (Nabil) In front of him, manifestations of corruption and embezzlement continue in the hospital in which he works, and he is unable to do anything, so they feel despair, and he decides to emigrate.
