Today, the Lao people live among, and risk their lives to clear, over 80 million unexploded bombs on their doorsteps. In a secluded village, brothers Xai and Ming share a deep bond with nature, often venturing into the forest for sustenance. One night, while hunting frogs, Ming is attacked by terrifying apparitions.

A Lao village finds harmony through music. Hongfa - a mysterious and beautiful young woman arrives in a Khmu and Hmong village in Northern Laos and becomes trapped between the two cultures. In her efforts to bring the villagers together through their music, she creates a melody of change.
