The only thing separating Nina and Richard from divorce is a contract they once wrote on a paper napkin while drunk, in which they pledged that whoever causes the end of the relationship will not receive a single crown from their joint property.

Helena, a free-spirited single café owner, takes her eight-year-old son Mikuláš to the mountains for a quiet Advent stay but, through a mix-up, ends up at a remote high-altitude lodge run by adventure guide Richard, his spirited daughter Zuzka, and his sociable brother Mišo. Unbeknownst to Helena, her parents also arrive, insisting the family spend Christmas together. Amid snowbound isolation, cultural clashes between city visitors and mountain folk, playful rivalries between the children, and unexpected challenges transform her planned retreat.

Matúš is a talented musician, who left his successfully developing career, when his adoptive mother fell ill. After her death, he’s living with his stepbrother Dávid and together they go through life, each in their own way. While Dávid takes what life gives him, Matúš feels frustrated by his failed ambitions. On his way to their fulfillment, he meets his old schoolmate Albert, who opens doors to the „better“ world for him.
