Sadri Alışık plays İbrahim, a taxi driver deeply in love with Hacer, a hardworking seamstress he affectionately calls “muhabbet kuşu.” When his wealthy friend Necmi inherits a fortune and declares his intentions toward Hacer, İbrahim must confront class tensions and prove his true devotion.

The film tells the story of a young man whose life is turned upside down after committing a murder. Kemal is a successful architect. He discovers that his girlfriend has been cheating on him with Ökkeş, the owner of a casino. Kemal is brutally beaten by Ökkeş's men, but he takes his revenge by killing Ökkeş. Although the young man is acquitted in court, his conscience is not at ease. He takes in Ökkeş's young daughter, who is left behind. However, the crime he committed in the past will not leave Kemal alone.

Kazım earns his living by fishing and selling books on the street. The lonely life he has been leading for many years in his small hut, has made him despise all humans and himself. But a new encounter reminds him that he is human again.

Tired of his spoiled and artificial surroundings and his cold and indifferent wife Banu, he longs for a simple and honest life. Then fate brings these two unhappy people together.
