During 1979 at the height of the Iran Hostage crisis, Babak goes on a trip to meet his fiancé’s parents and ends up confronting the realities of what it means to be an Iranian immigrant in a patriotic post-Vietnam America.

Lou and her best friend Chantal plan to get out of their isolated, run-down town and move to a city far, far away. When Chantal’s unstable and possessive ex violates her during a night of partying, the girls decide to exact their revenge on him through a night of vandalism and debauchery.

Lou and Chantal are gonna blow up. One day. Somehow. But girls don't get out of Coberge, Ontario by playing nice. All they've ever wanted, was to feel what it's like to be free.
