John Baxter is a freewheeling trader of goods in Africa with a pet chimpanzee and one dream: to save enough money to buy a gas station in Detroit.

John and Howard work in a company named Safari Express booking tourists on safaris. Their lives are turned upside down when they encounter a beautiful blonde wandering in the jungle who doesn't know who she is. They also discover uranium and what appear to be some well-mannered simians.

Carla Zachanassian had a child by Serge Miller as a teenager. When Serge refused to marry her, she was driven out of town. By her own wit and cunning, she has returned as a multi-millionaire for a visit. The town lays out the red carpet expecting big things from Carla, only to learn that her sole purpose is to see Serge Miller killed...

Christel, the beautiful, blonde daughter of the old master blacksmith Wangen, and the young, handsome student Fritz von Hohenstein have fallen in love. The two spend a happy, carefree time on the banks of the Rhine. This does not fit in at all with the concept of the court clerk Ensser, as the devious officer himself has his eye on the attractive blonde. When he asks for her hand in marriage, Christel immediately rejects him.
