The strange stories of Boxi, the cardboard dog, and Cartommy the cardboard boy come to life in the imaginery world of a child, built from household waste. All characters in the series can actually be cut and folded from paper.

The film presents the universal problems of musicians throughout the life of the band ACID. Underground clubs, unforgettable parties, upward success at first, then membership swaps, love, addiction problems, unfulfilled contracts. The band members talk about how they experience and see these things. Recollections reveal who these robots are and how they met.

Five minutes before his big performance, the Maestro and his persistent mechanical assistant are getting ready. As the clock ticks, life at the top is not all it seems.
