Life on one of the most modern submarines in the world is not for the faint of heart. The tasks of the crew push even the hardened soldiers to their limits.

Every day NATO and Russia meet in the Baltic Sea. The German frigate „Mecklenburg-Vorpommern“ was in service here for six months. For the crew, this means: living at sea, working at sea - and, in an emergency, fighting at sea. Between maneuvers, exercises and encounters with Russia.

She is the pride of the German Navy: the frigate Hessen is a state-of-the-art military ship specially designed for air defense. Since 2006, the high-tech giant has been in service with a crew of 255. In the world's largest maritime maneuver, the "Hessen" trains as part of the U.S. aircraft carrier group in strategic interaction with six other warships.

The Eurofighter is the Bundeswehr's most modern and powerful aircraft and enables the pilot to move at supersonic speeds. It was developed by Germany, Great Britain, Spain and Italy to dominate the airspace. Manufacturing also takes place at these four different locations. Assembly requires millimetre work and, like regular routine checks lasting several months, is carried out in Germany.

The weapon carrier Wiesel is a small track vehicle of the Bundeswehr. Visually, it looks like a toy tank, but it's packed with firepower and power. The 20mm machine gun and the anti-tank guided missile TOW are dangerous weapons. The weasel was designed to be extra small and light so that it can be quickly brought into its field of application by helicopter and transport aircraft. It is probably the most diverse armored vehicle in the Bundeswehr.
