The Urethra Chronicles is a 1999 on the road documentary film about the American pop punk band Blink-182.

Featuring blink-182's Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, David Kennedy, and Anthony Celestino, Box Car Racer's self-titled DVD includes interviews with the band members, live footage from their first show in San Diego, and behind-the-scenes footage from the music videos.

"The Urethra Chronicles II: Harder, Faster. Faster, Harder" follows the band's 2001 tour, with outtakes, a previously unreleased version of "Stay Together for the Kids," a Barker solo and more.

From the lyrical juxtapositions of two generations of teenagers in "Free Fallin'" to the award winning "Mary Jane's Last Dance" featuring Kim Bassinger, Petty treated his clips as small films. The narrative "Into the Great Wide Open," which features Faye Dunaway and Johnny Depp, actually resulted in offers to make Petty's story/song into a full length motion picture. Petty's reaction was, "It already is."
