Emerson Graham's nights as a cab driver are filled with annoyances and inconveniences, but until tonight, never attacks and disappearances. After picking up a mysterious passenger her evening goes from working a job to performing a quest as they must race against the clock to defeat a force of evil. The meter is running.

Larry, a former big-city filmmaker, is employed by a self-indulgent redneck, “The Colonel,” to document the exploits of his misfit ghost hunting team in the quiet rural town of Stagrassle, Mississippi.

Mark is at first reluctant when aspiring producer Seth and writer Holly want him to help them make a movie about a local serial killer: after all, they might figure out that he is behind them, but figures it could be interesting. However when rivalries, crushes, and outside influence begin to cloud his mind the harder it is to tell if he's in his own story or theirs. And who knows what direction the story will go in next?
